ITANAGAR: The All Param Putu Circle Youth Association (APPCYA) and All Arunachal Pradesh RTI Activist Association (AAPRTIAA) have served a 15-day ultimatum to the State government to prevent the construction of the new circle office building at Loth. Following the failure to address the demand, the association threatened to launch a democratic movement.

Addressing the media at the press club on Wednesday, APPCYA president Rending Tayo Beki claimed that, as per the government notification, the circle office building was supposed to be established at Param Putu. Param Putu is the circle headquarters, and the circle office should be constructed in the same place. He said, however, that now the foundation, as well as the inauguration stone, has been laid at Loth, which is illegal and not according to the government notification. Loth is supposed to be a camp office for the convenience of temporary administration.

He said that a group of people is constructing the Param Putu Circle Office Building at Loth without prior sanctioning from the competent authority and is also planning to inaugurate, which is illegal. He said the association has a sufficient officials’ record that justifies their claim that the circle office building is to be constructed at Param Putu.

The association also filed an FIR at the Ziro Police Station for the illegal construction of the CO Office building at Loth Village. Further, he appealed to the State government for the creation of Param Putu Administrative Circle with Camp Headquarters at Loth and to issue a fresh notification as per the earlier proposal.
