61 new Covid-19 cases; one more death in Arunachal Pradesh

A total of 61 more people tested positive for Covid-19 in Arunachal Pradesh, pushing the total caseload in the State to 53,217.

ITANAGAR: A tota of 61 more people tested positive for Covid-19 in Arunachal Pradesh, pushing the total caseload in the State to 53,217. The toll tally increased to 262, with a lady from Leparada district succumbing to the infection on Friday, said State Surveillance Officer (SSO) Dr Lobsang Jampa here on Saturday.

The 62-year-old woman died at the Dedicated Covid Hospital (DCH) Pasighat in East Siang district due to Covid Pneumonia. She has medical history of diabetic type-II and chronic kidney diseases.

Lower Subansiri recorded the highest number of fresh cases at 11, followed by Capital Complex Region and East Siang with eight cases each, Changlang (6), four each from West Kameng and Upper Siang and three each cases from West Siang and Leparada, he said.
