ALIMCO to distribute free aid & appliances to persons with disabilities in Arunachal

The Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation of India (ALIMCO) in collaboration of Arunachal Pradesh Social Justice department will organize camps for assessment of Persons with Disabilities (PwD and senior citizens in various places of the state for providing aids & appliances to improve their living conditions.

ITANAGAR: The Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation of India (ALIMCO) in collaboration of Arunachal Pradesh Social Justice department will organize camps for assessment of Persons with Disabilities (PwD and senior citizens in various places of the state for providing aids & appliances to improve their living conditions.

The central public sector enterprise under the union ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, had organized a camp at Sagalee in Papumpare district of the State on Thursday while, similar camps would be organized at Yupia on Friday in the ICDS Deputy Director office besides at physiotherapy unit of SJETA office behind Rajiv Gandhi Stadium at Naharlagun on February 15 and 16 next.

The PRO of ALIMCO has informed that a large number of aids & appliances would be provided to the identified beneficiaries free of cost under ADIP scheme and Rashtriya Vayoshri Yojana (RVY) of the Centre, during the camps planned on March 4 and 5 this year.

The major aids and appliances to distribute includes, tricycle, wheelchair, hearing aids, MSIED kit under ADIP scheme and RVY. The organization has called upon the people and social organizations of the respective areas to inform maximum effected persons to avail the benefits during the camps.
