ITANAGAR: The All Nyishi Youth Association (ANYA) Friday demanded the state government to initiate talks with the government of Assam on the eviction drive notice served by the forest department of the neighbouring state to several villages under Kimin Circle.

The Range Forest Officer (RFO) of Harmutty range had issued an eviction drive notice of 15 days to the people of Bello, Lora and Bukha villages under Kimin circle and even eviction drive notice board was found hanging on a tree at Gumto IV village near police check gate in Papum Pare distric, ANYA President Byabang Joram and General Secretary Dr Bengia Tada said in a statement. While condemning the illegal move and forceful attempt to capture Arunachal Pradesh land by Assam forest officials, the ANYA said that the boundary dispute case is pending with the Supreme Court and the apex court's directive was to maintain status quo by both the states till pronouncement of judgement.

The youth bodies demanded the state government to talk with its Assam counterpart saying that the case is very sensitive and would turn volatile if Assam forest officials would carry out illegal eviction in the state's terriroty after the notice period.
