APSCW provides ration and cash to inmates of Deepak Nabam Living Home

ITANAGAR: The Arunachal Pradesh State Commission for Women (APSCW) distributed ration and donated cash for medical treatment of the inmates of Deepak Nabam Living Home at Division Four near here on Friday.

The Owner of the living home, Deepak Nabam stated that a separate building is being constructed for women inmates for a safer environment. Presently, there are a total of 205 inmates in the shelter home.

Another 100-bedded building will be constructed at Doimukh soon.

The Commission requested the concerned authorities to implement the housing schemes for widow/ single/separated and destitute women under safety and empowerment of women. It also requested the concerned authorities to provide necessary help for such social activities under the guidelines of the Government of India. The APSCW requested the State government to provide all necessary infrastructure and support to NGOs working on the ground level such as Deepak Nabam Living Home and Mother's Home which need urgent attention from the government.
