Arunachal Allows Vaccinated Students To Attend School From Feb 1 For Offline Classes

ITANAGAR: As per the latest order issued by the state government, physical classes will be allowed in all schools of Arunachal Pradesh from 1st February. It is informed that offline classes will be allowed for those students who are vaccinated at least with the first dose.

The students of class 8 and above who have taken the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine will be now permitted to attain the classes offline by visiting their respective schools from Tuesday 1st February.

However, the offline classes for students up to class 5 will continue to remain suspended till 14th February 2022 stated the latest Arunachal government order.

The government further directed the schools to function with only 50% student capacity occupancy in properly ventilated classrooms. The boarding in hostels will be allowed from Tuesday with 50% capacity.

The resumption of physical classes in Arunachal Pradesh schools will be allowed by students following all the covid protocols and maintaining proper care with safety measures.

The government also ordered to ensure that all students of 15 years and above attending the offline classes have received their scheduled Covid-19 vaccination.

In the fresh order issued by chief secretary Naresh Kumar, the government also informed that various commercial establishments in the state, workplaces and businesses will be now allowed for operating till 08:00 pm at night.

But it mentioned that the activities in workplaces and other business establishments will be allowed with not more than 50 percent attendance.

The order stated that restaurants, gyms, cinema halls, bars and swimming pools in the state will continue to operate like before with not more than 50 percent capacity of people.

Earlier the government of Arunachal Pradesh had issued an order for the complete shutdown of all public and private schools in the state till 31st January. The decision was announced in view of concern about the rising covid cases across the state and to prevent the spread of infection.
