Arunachal CM Pema Khandu, Minister Nakap Nalo flagged off super specialty Volvo Bus service

Chief Minister Pema Khandu, along with Minister for Transport Nakap Nalo, flagged off the new super specialty Volvo Bus service here at Secretariat on Monday.

ITANAGAR: Chief Minister Pema Khandu, along with Minister for Transport Nakap Nalo, flagged off the new super specialty Volvo Bus service here at Secretariat on Monday.

Speaking to the media, Nalo informed that the service will be under PPP mode, and initially two Volvo bus services from Itanagar to Shillong and Itanagar to Tezu-via Namsai have been introduced. He also added that soon the service will be expanded with 10 buses for different locations like Pasighat, Miao, Roing and others.

The minister also disclosed that more buses will be introduced soon for different locations as soon as ongoing under construction Trans Arunachal Highways is completed. Nalo further added that with comfort travel and affordable charges, the Volvo Bus service will not only generate revenue for the government but also boost tourism. Among others, Secretary Transport, Special Secretary Transport, and other dignitaries have also attended the event.
