ITANAGAR: Arunachal Pradesh's COVID-19 tally rose to 15,160 on Thursday as 77 more persons tested positive for the infection and one person succumbed to the infection pushing the State's toll to 43 during the last 24 hours, said State Surveillance Officer (SSO) DrLobsangJampa. The State now has 1,645 active Coronavirus cases. While 13,472 people have been cured of the disease taking the recovery rate among the COVID-19 patients in the State to 88.86 per cent.
While the COVID-19 positivity rate in the State stands at 11.14 per cent and the death rate at 0.28 per cent.
The 60-year-old man, also suffering from chronic liver ailment with hepatic encephalopathy, died at a COVID Health Centre at Khonsa in Tirap district on Tuesday. Of the 77 fresh cases, 21 were reported from the Capital Complex region; eight from Upper Subansiri; seven from Upper Siang; five each from Lower Dibang Valley, East Siang and Tirap; four each from West Kameng and Lower Subansiri; three each from Siang, West Siang and Longding; two each from Shi-Yomi, Papumpare and Anjaw; and one each from Namsai, LepaRada and Lohit.
