Arunachal Deputy CM Chowna Mein recalls contributions of party’s pioneers

ITANAGAR: Arunachal Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein on Thursday recalled the contributions of the founder leaders of the BJP, who formed the right wing party with the ideology of ‘nation first'. Addressing the 43rd foundation day of the BJP at the party's head office here, Mein briefed on the history of the party’s foundation and its struggles and successes since its inception.

The deputy chief minister highlighted the prime policies of the BJP and its philosophy to take up the idea of a New India, which is moving forward relying equally on the strength of its party cadres in all sectors under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He also referred to the developmental activities in the country, which started after the BJP-led government came to power at the centre under Atal Behari Vajpayee in 1999 and in 2014 under Modi. In his address, BJP state President Biyuram Wahge briefed on the party leaders who sacrificed their lives to strengthen the party in the state. He said the party workers should not forget those leaders who selflessly work for the party.

Appreciating the PM’s speeches, he said that the state government led by Chief Minister Pema Khandu is doing the best for all-round development. He appealed to the party workers to continue their efforts for the all-round development of the state and further urged them to reach the unreached areas of the state to share information on all developmental schemes of the central and state governments with the people. Professor Hui Tag from Rajiv Gandhi University, who attended the function as a resource person, briefed on the integral humanism, economic policies, and cultural value system of the BJP. He also highlighted the journey of the BJP in India, the major achievements of Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the centre, and developmental activities and achievements in the state under Khandu. Earlier, Wahge hoisted the party’s flag, which was followed by paying floral tributes to Shyama Prasad Mukherjee and Deen Dayal Upadhyay, the pioneers of the party.
