ITANAGAR: Minister for Health and Family Welfare Alo Libang said the infrastructure development is not enough but there should also be proper manpower and equipment in a particular hospital to strengthen the health sector on Friday.
Addressing a meeting with the Health officials at Lemmi here, Libang also exhorted that instead of creating more and more sub centers, PHC ,CHC and District Hospitals, we should stress on particular hospitals as per the catchment area and to make it full flagged hospital with all kind of facilities.
Libang urged the doctors and health workers to share feedback to improve the health sectors of the State. "I am visiting hospitals and interacting with officials of various districts to know the ground reality of health sectors," Libang said, while informing that after collecting all the reports he will submit it to the cabinet for immediate action.
While responding to the representation submitted by the public and All Pakke Kesang district Students Union (APKDSU) Minister assured to extend all possible support to fulfill their demands.
Local MLA cum State BJP president Biyuram Waghe said that being the new district Pakke Kesang needs more infrastructure and manpower in the entire department.
In its public representation submitted to the Minister, TN Tara BJP district president Pakke Kesang sought up-gradation of PHC, Veo to CHC, creation of new ICDS project in Pizirang circle, posting of required doctors and other.
APKDSU also demanded the establishment of District Hospital, allocation of Junior Specialist Doctor and three ambulances.
Meanwhile, Libang also conducted a meeting with officials of Women & Child Development, SJETA. After a threadbare discussion, the Minister expressed his concern on the poor infrastructure of Anganwadi centers and pre-school equipment.
