ITANAGAR: Continuing its Indo-China border mission, a team of Arunachal Pradesh BJP, led by vice president Tarh Tarak, visited the last villages of Molo and Sape under Sarli and Polosang circles of the Kurung Kumey district.
The team, including MLA Lokam Tasar, marched on foot to a village from where two major communities had migrated, a party communiqué informed here on Thursday.
Located in a dense jungle about 10 km without any road from Mollo, the last village linked by road, the historical ancestral site is Darmai Iwangchai from where Mijis and Akas had migrated to settle down in West Kameng region and other clans like Pisa, Milli and Sape still living in Polosang circle of the district.
The team visited Sarli Army and ITBP camps at the Subansiri Yodha campus and interacted with the officials to know if there is any intrusion from the other side and got a response in negative as peace has been prevailing.
Earlier, in a public meeting at Sapey, the last Indo-Tibetan border village, Tarak said that the visit aimed at encouraging armed forces while taking stock of ground reality in border areas and also intended to assess if border villagers are availing state and central government schemes.
While highlighting important development schemes and achievements in the state, Tarak said that schemes and policies were mostly on paper during the Congress regime while the Modi government has been implementing on the ground a last-mile delivery system.
"Modi's mantra - sab ka sath, sab ka vikas, sab ka biswas aur sab ka prayas, is the secret of the success," he said.
He urged all the departmental heads to carry forward the PM's mission and vision in the district as Chief Minister Pema Khandu-led BJP government has been working in the larger interest of the people with the principles of reform, perform and transformation.
The BJP-led government would continue to rule in the state and the Centre for many years, he claimed.
Highlighting developmental activities in the district, local MLA Tassar said that his Koloriang Assembly constituency is one of the most challenging constituencies in the state, but the State government has been trying its best for all-round development.
He urged the people to support Khandu as he would take the state, including Kurung Kumey to a higher ladder of development.
