Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh Director of Health Services (DHS) Dr M Lego has urged the stakeholders involved in Mission Indradhanush (MI) to work together to achieve the goal of over 90 per cent immunization by December 2018.
Dr Lego was addressing a workshop on ‘Adverse event following immunization’, organized by the health & family welfare (HFW) department at a city hotel here. The district Reproductive and Child Health (RCH) officer, along with An Adverse Event Following Immunization (AEFI) committee members and others participated in the workshop, which was conducted by resource persons from the union HFW ministry and the World Health Organisation.
Earlier, State Immunization Officer Dr D Padung stressed on “continuous orientation on all the tenets of routine immunization, so that the quality vaccination sessions are institutionalized.” Underlining the importance of proper documentation, reporting and investigation for taking corrective actions and enhancing the efficiency of the reporting system, Dr Padung stressed the need to utilize the union HFW ministry’s online portal and Vaccine Adverse Event Information Management System, a press release informed here today.
