Arunachal Pradesh Governor BD Mishra attends event at Rajiv Gandhi University (RGU)

ITANAGAR: Arunachal Pradesh Governor Brig (Retd) Dr BD Mishra on Thursday attended the 'Sangosthi', a conclave organized by Rajiv Gandhi University (RGU) as part of 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsa' at the Raj Bhavan here. Jagadguru Sankaracharya Maharaj of the Puri-based Govardhan Math addressed the conclave on 'Spiritual, Happiness, Bharatiya Gyan Parampara and Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav'. The Sankaracharya laid stress on Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam, a Sanskrit phrase which means 'The World Is One Family' and advised all to live a life for the welfare of others. He said that these qualities of service to humanity are the true identity of India. The Governor, on behalf of the people of the State, honoured the Sankaracharya on the occasion. State Education Minister Taba Tedir, RGU Vice Chancellor Prof Saket Kushwaha, Capital MLA Techi Kaso, and Itanagar Municipal Corporation (IMC) Mayor Tame Phassang also attended the programme among others, a press release informed here.
