Arunachal Pradesh Governor Brig (Retd) Dr B D Mishra highlights border security in Arunachal with CDS

ITANAGAR: Arunachal Pradesh Governor Brig (Retd) Dr B D Mishra met the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS)-cum-Secretary, Department of Military Affairs, General Anil Chauhan, at New Delhi on Thursday and discussed issues about the state.

The Governor last met General Chauhan on September 10 this year, during the inauguration of General Bipin Rawat Military Garrison at Kibithu in the Anjaw district of the state, before his appointment and promotion as CDS.

Mishra congratulated him in person on being appointed as the CDS and conveyed the good wishes of the people of Arunachal Pradesh and expressed his hope that General Chauhan will make the Indian Armed Forces the best in the world.

The Governor shared his observations about the border security in Arunachal Pradesh and said that good civil and military relations have facilitated the development of infrastructure in the State.

He mentioned the welfare of the ex-servicemen in different parts of the country and suggested to the CDS more proactive initiatives for their welfare.

He emphasized that welfare measures for them from Defence Ministry should reach down to the last ex-Servicemen in the last village of the country, a Raj Bhawan communiqué informed here on Friday.
