Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lt Gen K T Parnaik’s greetings on Indigenous Faith Day

ITANAGAR: Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lt Gen K T Parnaik extended his warm greetings to the people of the state on the special occasion of Indigenous Faith Day. He expressed hope that the celebration of the day will inspire all to carry forward the indigenous faith system, as the people have done since times immemorial, and further strengthen the bonds of the composite culture and belief. In his message, Parnaik said that the faith and spiritual value systems of various communities are a source of inspiration and guidance. It enlightens the believers and instills virtues in them. “It thus devolves on us to observe such occasions for the peace and well-being of the people. These principles contribute not only to the spiritual well-being of individuals but also to the overall peace and well-being of society. Tolerance, compassion, kindness, and the will to sacrifice for the common good are the manifestations of indigenous faith,” he said.

In essence, the celebration of Indigenous Faith Day becomes a means of preserving cultural identity and also promoting mutual respect, understanding, and cooperation among diverse communities. A person develops to his or her fullest potential when he or she follows their age-old cultural heritage and traditions, he added. “On this occasion, I offer my prayers to Almighty to bestow his choicest blessings on each one of us,” Parnaik said in his message.
