Arunachal Pradesh IPR secretary Nyali Ete visits FTI, assess progress of work

ITANAGAR: Arunachal Pradesh Information and Public Relations and Printing Secretary Nyali Ete, accompanied by IPR Director Onyok Pertin and other officers, visited the Film and Television Institute (FTI) at Jote, near here, on Saturday to take stock of the progress of works undertaken by various departments. In a threadbare discussion with the officers, the secretary said that the FTI is one of the major projects of the centre and is being closely monitored from time to time.

Setting out a timeline for the completion of works pertaining to building infrastructure, internal and external electrification, water supply, and boundary demarcation, as per the decision taken in his earlier visits, the secretary pointed out that the progress is not going at the expected pace. He exhorted all the stakeholders to go with more commitments so that works are completed as per the deadline set and the asset for the state is utilised for the future generation. Ete added that the visit was necessitated prior to the review meeting to be held with the state chief secretary on its progress. He asked all the stakeholders to present the status of the works assigned to them in detail in the meeting, an official communiqué informed.
