ITANAGAR: On January 3, Arunachal Pradesh will welcome Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, who will also dedicate a number of construction initiatives. In essence, Singh will officially open 27 BRO projects, including the Siyom Bridge in the Siang district's vicinity of Boleng.

Less than a month has passed since Indian and Chinese troops engaged in combat along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in the Tawang area. Because it enables the military to send soldiers to remote parts of the Line of Actual Control, the 100-meter Siyom bridge over the river Siyom is a crucial bridge from a strategic perspective.

Ajay Bhatt, the minister of state for defense, also let the Lok Sabha know that the Ministry of Defense has given the Border Roads Organization (BRO) the responsibility of building roads in border regions in accordance with the Army's prioritised list based on a five-year Long Term Roll Over Works Plan (LTRoWP).

According to data that Bhatt gave, 257 roads totaling 13,525.417 km have been developed in the last five years in 10 states and three union territories. According to the data, the BRO built 43 roads totaling 3,140 km in Ladakh and 64 roads totaling 3,097 km in Arunachal Pradesh over the previous five years.

According to the information provided, there were 18 roads (663.535 km) in Sikkim, 22 roads (947.21 km) in Uttarakhand, 61 roads (2381.963 km) in the UT of Jammu and Kashmir, and 13 roads (884.309 km) in Rajasthan. The Indian Army, according to the Defence Minister, valiantly prevented Chinese People's Liberation Army soldiers from invading Indian land and forced them to retreat to their positions.

"The LAC was attempted to be crossed by PLA troops on December 9, 2022, in the Tawang sector's Yangtse area, in an effort to unilaterally alter the status quo. The Chinese attempt was met with fierce resistance from our troops.

Following a physical altercation, the Indian Army valiantly stopped the PLA from advancing into our land and ordered them to return to their positions "The Lok Sabha heard comments made by the defence minister, Rajnath Singh. The issue had allegedly been brought up with China through diplomatic channels, according to the minister.

"The local commander for the region conducted a flag meeting with his Chinese counterpart on December 11 to discuss the event after it occurred. The Chinese side was told to keep the border quiet and declined to take any such moves "Speaking in the Lok Sabha, Singh.
