ITANAGAR: The COVID-19 recovery in Arunachal Pradesh surpassed fresh cases, with 69 more people recuperated from the disease, while 34 fresh infections were reported in the Northeastern state, a senior health official said here on Tuesday.
With the new positive cases, the total caseload in the state rose to 64,313, while the total recoveries thus far stood at 63,750, he said. The death toll in the frontier state remained at 296, as no casualty due to the infection was reported in the past 24 hours, State Surveillance Officer (SSO) Dr Lobsang Jampa said. Arunachal Pradesh currently has 267 active COVID-19 cases, the official said.
State Immunization Officer (SSO) Dr Dimong Padung said as many as 16,27,598 people have been inoculated with COVID vaccines so far. At least 76,023 beneficiaries in the age group of 15-18 years have been vaccinated and 22,254 senior citizens received the booster jab.
