Arunachal Pradesh reports one fresh COVID case, tally at 16,839

Arunachal Pradesh reported one fresh case of COVID-19, pushing the total caseload to 16, 839.

ITANAGAR: Arunachal Pradesh reported one fresh case of COVID-19, pushing the total caseload to 16, 839. The fresh case was detected from the Capital Complex region and the patient is asymptomatic. Arunachal Pradesh currently has three active cases, while 56 people died due to the contagion so far. A total of 16,780 people have recuperated from the infection so far. The State's recovery and positivity rates stand at 99.64 per cent and 0.018 per cent respectively.

Tirap district has the highest number of active cases as of now with two, while the Capital Complex region -- comprising Itanagar, Naharlagun, Nirjuli and Banderdewa areas -- has one. Altogether, 4,07,Arunachal Pradesh reported one fresh case of COVID-19, pushing the total caseload to 16, 839. The fresh case was detected from the Capital Complex region and the patient is asymptomatic. Arunachal Pradesh currently has three active cases, while 56 people died due to the contagion so far. A total of 16,780 people have recuper82 samples have been tested, including 305 on Friday, , said State Surveillance Officer Dr Lobsang Jampa.

Meanwhile, a total of 41,708 Health and frontline workers, including 3,618 on Friday, have been inoculated in the State thus far, informed State Immunisation Officer Dimong Padung.
