Arunachal Pradesh reports seven new COVID cases in the last 24-hours

Arunachal Pradesh reported seven new cases of COVID-19 in the last 24-hours, taking the State's tally to 16,696, said State Surveillance Officer Dr Lobsang Jampa on Tuesday.

ITANAGAR: Arunachal Pradesh reported seven new cases of COVID-19 in the last 24-hours, taking the State's tally to 16,696, said State Surveillance Officer Dr Lobsang Jampa on Tuesday. Meanwhile, 18 more patients recovered from the infection on Monday, taking the total number of recoveries in the State to 16,521. The COVID-19 recovery rate is 98.95 per cent. As on date, the State has 119 active cases, while 56 people have succumbed to the infection. The fatality ratio is 0.33 per cent.

Of the fresh cases, three were reported from the Capital Complex Region (CCR) besides two each from Tawang and Lower Dibang Valley district. All the cases were detected through Rapid Antigen Tests and two were symptomatic.

The CCR — comprising Itanagar, Naharlagun, Nirjuli and Banderdewa areas — has the highest number of active cases at 45, followed by Tawang (28), East Siang (12) and West Kameng (10).

So far, the State has tested 3,76,568 samples for COVID-19, including 400 on Monday, and the positivity rate is at 1.05 per cent, Dr Jampa added.
