Arunachal Pradesh reports single Covid-19 case

The Covid-19 caseload in Arunachal Pradesh rose to 55,258 with one more person tested positive for the infection, said a senior health official here on Friday.

ITANAGAR: The Covid-19 caseload in Arunachal Pradesh rose to 55,258 with one more person tested positive for the infection, said a senior health official here on Friday.

A total of 54,944 people recuperated from the disease thus far in the state including one on Thursday, added the official.

The coronavirus death toll in the state remained unchanged at 280 as no fresh fatality was registered in the past 24 hours, pointed out State Surveillance Officer (SSO) Dr Lobsang Jampa.

The northeastern state now has 34 active cases. The recovery rate among the Covid-19 patients remained at 99.43 per cent, while the active ratio stood at 0.06 per cent.

The Tawang District recorded the highest number of active cases at 8, followed by the Capital Complex Region – comprising Itanagar, Naharlagun, Nirjuli and Banderdewa areas at seven, West Kameng (five) and three each in Siang, Upper Siang and East Siang districts respectively, the SSO said.

As many as 11,97,453 samples have been tested for coronavirus in the state so far including, 310 on Thursday, Jampa said adding, the positivity rate further dipped to 0.32 per cent.Meanwhile, State Immunisation Officer Dr Dimong Padung informed that a total of 13,99,131 people have been inoculated so far in the state including, 3,542 on Thursday.
