ITANAGAR: Six more persons tested positive for Covid-19 in Arunachal Pradesh, pushing the virus tally in the northeastern state to 55,167, a senior health official said here on Wednesday.
A total of 54,805 people have recuperated from the disease thus far in the state including, nine on Tuesday, the official said. The recovery rate among Covid patients stood at 99.34 per cent, while the active percent dipped to 0.15 per cent, State Surveillance Officer (SSO) Dr Lobsang Jampa said.
The death toll in the frontier state remained at 280 as no casualty was reported in the past 24 hours, the SSO said. Arunachal Pradesh now has 82 active cases. Lower Dibang Valley district has the highest number of active cases at 17, followed by Tawang (14), Lohit and East Siang district at ten cases each. As many as 11,86,807 samples have been tested for Covid-19 thus far in the state, including 740 on Tuesday, Jampa said adding the positivity rate stood at 0.81 per cent.
State Immunisation Officer Dr Dimong Padung informed that a total of 13,23,530 people have been inoculated so far in the state.
