ITANAGAR: The Covid-19 tally in Arunachal Pradesh rose to 55,176 with two more persons tested positive for the infection, a senior health official said here on Saturday.
A total of 54,835 people have recuperated from the disease thus far in the state including, nine on Friday, the official said. The recovery rate among Covid patients stood at 99.38 per cent, while the active percent dipped to 0.11 per cent, State Surveillance Officer (SSO) Dr Lobsang Jampa said. The death toll in the frontier state remained at 280 as no casualty was reported in the past 24 hours, the SSO said. Arunachal Pradesh now has 61 active cases.
Tawang District has the highest number active cases at 11, followed by Lohit and East Siang at 10 cases each.
As many as 11,87,903 samples have been tested for Covid-19 thus far in the state, including 440 on Friday, Jampa said adding the positivity rate stood at 0.45 per cent. State Immunisation Officer Dr Dimong Padung informed that a total of 13,31,896 people have been inoculated so far in the state.
