Arunachal Pradesh is one of the Indian states that comes from the region of the erstwhile North-East Frontier Agency since the British Colonial Era. The capital of Arunachal Pradesh is Itanagar located at the hilltop of Himalayas Mountain.

Arunachal Pradesh is situated in an area surrounded by huge mountains and shares its border with many states of India and also with other countries. On its border is the Bhutan Kingdom on the west side, it also shares a border towards the north side with the Autonomous area of Tibet, China and to the southern and southeastern part, it shares a border with the Indian state Nagaland and lastly towards the southwest with Assam, the northeastern state of Assam. In the year 1972, the state was made a Union Territory of India before it was considered as a part of Assam and then in the year 1987, it became the State of India.

Arunachal Pradesh is known for its culture, community along with the evergreen forests, plateaus, extensive valleys and Hill Mountains rising at the top of the Himalayas. It holds many tributaries of the mighty Brahmaputra River such as Tirap, Subansiri, Lohit, the Dibang and Kameng among which the only ones to cross the important Himalayan ranges is the Subansiri. The state is rich with different varieties of soil like ultisols, inceptisols and entisols and most of the river valleys have soil with features of rich alluvial soils that are much recommended for the purpose of agriculture. The people living in Arunachal Pradesh enjoys a hot and humid climate as the zone of foothills is subtropical and sometimes with e rise of altitude in the mountains, there is a downfall in the average temperatures.

The state along with varying soils, climate and topography also has a huge availability of flora and fauna. It has approximately two-thirds of the state surrounded by forests along with heavy rainforests situated at the sides of the foothills. Vegetation in the state is another thing that makes it different from other states in India as it has the accessibility of alpine vegetation and Sub-alpine vegetation and rhododendrons appearing in the lofty slopes is something found in the majority exist predominantly. Some of the plants that grow in the state Arunachal Pradesh can save life as it has plants used for medical purposes few are like yew and ginseng. These types of plants are used for treatment and are often referred to by many inhabitants living in the state.

The population of Arunachal Pradesh holds various tribes from different ethnic groups including indigenous people and migrants from different countries. Some of the most notable tribes are Hill Miri, Nissi, Monpa, Aka, Apa Tani and Sherdukpen. The occupations and lifestyle of the people living in isolated villages are much similar as they make their food through the following means such as by collecting things from forests, hunting and fishing. But the state has the lowest density of population speaking fifty different dialects and languages.

The capital of the state Itanagar with socio-cultural values is known for its exhibition of art and handicraft along with textiles and beautiful architecture. It adds more significance to the state with archaeological sites that are highly valued and preserved therefore is a must-visit place for tourists. The chief minister of the state is Pema Khandu representing BJP, he is the 9th CM of the state and the son of former Arunachal CM Dorjee Khandu. He changed his party from Indian National Congress to the Peoples Party of Arunachal and then shifted to Bharatiya Janata Party in 2016.
