Arunachal unit of Janata Dal-United celebrates win in Bihar elections

The Arunachal unit of Janata Dal-United (JDU) celebrated the winning of JDU led NDA party in the recently concluded assembly election in Bihar at Lobi here on Tuesday.

ITANAGAR: The Arunachal unit of Janata Dal-United (JDU) celebrated the winning of JDU led NDA party in the recently concluded assembly election in Bihar at Lobi here on Tuesday.

Rejoicing the win, JDU- state President Ruhi Tugung said that the party will also make best effort in our Arunachal Pradesh in upcoming Panchayat and municipal elections. He informed that party will finalize the formalities and modalities with the ruling state BJP government within a few days.

"Our office at Papu Nallah at Naharlagun has been shifted to Lobi and has sufficient space. Due to the announcement of the local body poll we are accordingly preparing ourselves for the upcoming election. However, we will also see what our alliance has to say on that," Tugung added.

When asked about the JDU lawmakers switching to other political parties in the state, Tugung said that it is a 'rumor'. All the JDU legislators are united and we are taking decisions for the welfare of our people and its party.

Meanwhile Tugung also announced his candidate for the post of Corporator from Ward No.8 in the ensuing municipality election from Itanagar municipal corporation.
