ITANAGAR: Assistant sub-inspector attached to the Palin PS, Joseph Skaria died in a vehicular accident today at Palin while Palin PS officer-in-charge Inspector Tei Taga sustained serious head injury.

The deceased victim is a native of Kerala, and was serving the Arunachal Pradesh Police as ASI Telecom.

Kra-Daadi district superintendent of Police, Dusu Kaling informed that the condition of Taga is stated to be stable but is being taken to the state capital by his family for further medical check-up.

Meanwhile, the Kra Daadi police are in the process of transporting late Skaria's body to Itanagar, where it will be handed over to his family, informed the SP. Informing that Skaria was in his late 40s, the SP said they, however, are yet to verify his surviving family members.

Regarding the incident, SP Kaling informed that the incident happened at around 1:15 pm near the DC office, Palin. There were only two passengers on the vehicle with Taga behind the wheels, he added.

"The exact cause of the incident will be verified after investigation but so far it is assumed that the driver lost control of the vehicle during the steep incline towards the DC office," SP informed.
