YINGKIONG, Sept 23: Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) — comprehensive Health Insurance Scheme — was formally launched at District Hospital Yingkiong by Deputy Commissioner Upper Siang Duly Kamduk on Sunday. Launching the AB-PMJAY, DC Kamduk exhorted the health department personnel to enlighten the common mass throughout the district about the scheme through various means so that maximums numbers of people benefits from it. He further instructed the health department to incorporate distribution of forms and registration of beneficiaries in the next programme which is supposed to be held at Tuting in the month of October. He asked the department to send require numbers of form well in advance to ADC Tuting. Earlier in the programme, Medical Superintendent District Hospital Yingkiong Dr. Joseph Tekseng appraised the members present in the programme about the Health Insurance Schemes in detail and also updates of the registered beneficiary list of the District.
As a part of programme, CMAAY cards were also distributed to beneficiaries. All members’ present also witnessed the formal launching programme of AB-PMJAY by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Jharkhand through live telecast.
