BJP to observe social justice week in Arunachal Pradesh

ITANAGAR: The BJP in Arunachal Pradesh is going to celebrate the party’s foundation day on April 6 and the birth anniversary of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar on April 14 by organizing various programmes throughout the state in a befitting manner.

Addressing reporters at the party office on Thursday, BJP vice president Tarh Tatak informed the party it would organise an awareness campaign on various schemes for ST and minorities, a cleanliness drive, a felicitation programme for senior party workers, the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, followed by fruit distribution to the patients, and tree plantations to mark the ‘Social Justice Week’ in the state. Tarak informed that the party has directed all the district and mandal presidents to organize such programmes in their respective districts and mandals. State Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein would attend the programme on April 6 during the party’s foundation day.

BJP is the largest political party, having the largest number of MPs, MLAs, and governments in the states and at the centre under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the second consecutive term, he said. Under Modi’s leadership, the Centre is dedicated to the welfare of the poor, exploited, deprived, scheduled castes, tribes, and backward classes, he added. The state unit of BJP president Biyuram Wahge has constituted a state-level committee for social justice week under the chairmanship of Tarak and others.
