Christian Medical College Vellore empanelled for cashless treatment

ITANAGAR: The ambitious 'Chief Minister Arogya Arunachal Yojana' (CMAAY) received a major boost after the State government issued a notification for inking a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Christian Medical College (CMC) at Vellore for its empanelment for cashless treatment.

The State Cabinet on April 6 this year approved the proposal to extend the benefits of CMAAY at CMC Vellore and notification of its guidelines was issued on July 6 last, a senior government official informed.

The conditions for association of CMAAY with CMC Vellore are a deviation from the standard package-based hospitalization under the scheme as well as in Ayushman Bharat-Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY).

Under this scheme, CMC Vellore will extend its medical/ and surgical facilities on credit basis for inpatient treatment including diagnostic tests, investigations, prescription, dispensation of medicines to the beneficiaries of CMAAY at its tariff prevailing at the time of utilization of services by the patient, Chief Executive Officer of CMAAY and PMJAY Dr Nabam Peter informed. "The bills will be covered under CMAAY up to a limit of Rs. 5 lakhs per annum per family," he said.

All beneficiaries enrolled under CMAAY could avail the benefit, who are bonafide schedule tribes of the State and government employees.
