Comprehensive training for DLMTs begins in Arunachal Pradesh

ITANAGAR: A five-day theme-wise comprehensive training for district-level master trainers (DLMTs) began at the office of the chief electoral officer, Nirvachan Bhawan. The training, being imparted by state-level master trainers, is being conducted in view of the forthcoming simultaneous elections, due later this year, the state’s deputy chief electoral officer Shania Kayem Mize said in a release. Earlier, the state-level master trainers were trained by national-level master trainers at the India International Institute of Democracy and Election Management, New Delhi. She urged the DLMTs to make the most of the training by clearing all their doubts. The deputy chief electoral officer said that after the completion of their training, they will have to conduct training for assembly-level master trainers and polling personnel in their respective districts.

Mize said cascaded training on election processes is being conducted for the peaceful conduct of elections in the state. The training aims to cover topics of district election management plan, vulnerable mapping, polling party and poll day arrangements, model code of conduct, expenditure monitoring, amendments of election acts and rules, modifications in a few forms of revision, SSR 2024, SVEEP, ERONET, and IT applications, EVM and VVPAT, and postal ballots. After each training session, an evaluation process is being done, and certificates of participation are also being awarded to participants, the release added.
