Itanagar: Single-day recoveries outnumbered COVID-19 fresh cases in Arunachal Pradesh as 47 more people recuperated from the disease on Monday, while 43 new infections were registered in the north-eastern State, a health department official said here on Tuesday. The new cases pushed the virus tally to 54,395, the official said. As many as 53,802 people have recovered from the disease thus far in the State, State Surveillance Officer (SSO) Dr Lobsang Jampa said.
The death toll in the frontier State remained at 274 as no casualties were reported in the past 24 hours, the SSO said. Arunachal Pradesh currently has 319 active cases.
