Itanagar: Tawang district administration on Friday conducted the 11th round of Sarkar Apke Dwar (SAD) cum Jan Sunwai camp at Nahmed Village under Kyidphel circle of the district.
The camp was inaugurated by in charge DC Lobsang Tsering in presence of extra assistant commissioners Dochora Lama and Tenzin Jambey, besides senior officers, gaon burahs and villagers of Nahmed, Bomdir, Wodkher, Langputse and nearby areas.
Nahmed village was adjudged as the cleanest village of the district under Swach Bharat Mission (Grameen) in 2018 and its gaon burah Lobsang Dorjee was honoured by the state government as best performing sarpanch of the district in the year 2018-19.
During the camp, the DC felicitated the school toppers of Government Upper Primary School Nahmed and distributed vegetable seeds and agricultural water pipe to the villagers through three gaon burahs of Bomdir, Nahmed, and Wodkher, an official communique informed here.
The DC also distributed information brochures on voters awareness and make the people aware on Arunachal Pradesh Panchayati Raj (Amendment) Act 2018. He also informed the villagers about importance of education, judicious utilization of natural resources and electricity.
A team of officers led by the DC including Tawang district medical officer (DMO) Dr Wangdi Lama and EAC Dochora Lama, visited the nearby Tarmang Gonpa covering one hours of journey on foot and interacted with the residents.
In total 42 government departments provided services in the camp to the villagers at their doorstep.
The next round of SAD camp will be conducted at Nhamtshering village under Duitongkhar circle of Lungla Sub Division on January 7 next, the communique added.
