NAHARLAGUN: Capital SP Tumme Amo refuted the allegation of barging in into a quarantine facility at Hotel Nemko, Naharlagun and also compromising the quarantine exercise, on Saturday.
The SP said that the security guard and the caretaker of the quarantine centre were informed beforehand about his visit by the SDPO.
Tumme Amo said that he is not sure whether the caretaker was a doctor or just a caretaker.
Speaking to this daily, Amo informed that the visit to the centre was to verify and confirm whether the guard of the quarantine centre was safe and taking all precautions to avoid the pandemic.
He said that those 6 quarantined person in the centre are being guarded by his policemen.
“The visit was also to brief the guard about his responsibility as there were may complain about the harassment by police personals at various check points,” the SP added.
He said that it was the caretaker who took them around quarantine facility. He also added that he along with his team had put on masks during the visit and those who were not following the preventive guidelines were later asked to do so.
