District level monitoring committee meeting held in Tawang

Itanagar: The district level monitoring committee (DLMC) meeting under the chairmanship of Tawang DC Sang Phuntsok was held on Tuesday at Tawang to review various Central and State Government schemes being implemented in the district. The DC in the meeting reviewed the status of the various Centrally sponsored projects like North East Council (NEC), Non-Lapsable Central Pool of Resources (NLCPR), DoNER, Rural Infrastructure Development Fund (RIDF), Central relief Fund (CRF), Border Area Development Programme (BADP) and MP Local Area Development Fund (MPLADS). The meeting also reviewed the progress of State funded schemes like State Annual Development Agenda (SADA), Special Infrastructure Development Fund (SIDF), MLA Local Area Development Fund (MLALAD), Untied Fund and other departmental projects and programmes, an official release informed.

The various flagship programmes of the Centre and State Government such as MGREGS, Pradhan Mantra Awas Yojana (Rural), PMAY (Urban), Swach Bharat Mission (Urban), Ujjwala (PMUY), the rural electrification (Saubhagya), Indira Gandhi old age Pension/Disability pension scheme, PMMVY, National Social Assistance programme and mission Indra-dhanush were reviewed.

In the meeting, status of States own resource and revenue generated by the various revenue heads of tax & excise, power (electrical), water charges, revenue from State transport service, geology & mining, arms license, land revenue, tax on motor vehicles, stamps and registration, OAS, tourism, industries and textile & handicraft sales were also reviewed.

The issue of pending utilization certificate under BADP from various executing agencies, status of geo-tagging of projects and action taken reports on the observation of the third party monitors on BADP were also taken up and reviewed in the meeting.
