Eastern Air Commander Chief discusses security issues with Arunachal Governor BD Mishra

ITANAGAR: Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief of Eastern Air Command Air Marshal D K Patnaik on Wednesday called on Arunachal Pradesh Governor Brig (Retd) Dr B D Mishra at Raj Bhawan here and discussed about national security and humanitarian missions of the Indian Air Force (IAF) in the State.

During the discussion, the governor said that the IAF has always been very prompt in attending to humanitarian missions in the state.

"It has cemented a strong trust with the people of the state by their helpful assignments," Mishra said while sharing the gratitude of the people to the IAF, a Raj Bhawan communiqué informed here.

The governor suggested to the Eastern Air Chief to conduct awareness campaigns about recruitment by all the Indian Air Forces present in the state.

"Such initiative will motivate and encourage the youth to join the Indian Armed Forces," the governor added. The AOC-IC assured the governor of the best support and assistance from the IAF to the people and the state, the communiqué added.
