ITANAGAR: An active cadre of a militant outfit, surrendered before security forces in Arunachal Pradesh on Monday, police said.

The cadre of the Eastern Naga National Government (ENNG), identified as self-styled private Sampa Taisim (21), surrendered before Changlang district police, Assam Rifles and CRPF, Changlang SP Mihin Gambo said.

The cadre, who hails from Khuchep-I village in the district, surrendered due to persistent pursuance of Changlang police and security forces, Gambo said. He joined the outfit in 2018 and since then he was very active.

The SP further informed that another cadre of the outfit, identified as self-styled private Limtu Mossang, had also surrendered before security forces at Miao police station in the district on August 26. The security forces also apprehended an active cadre of ENNG at Miao on Saturday. The arrested cadre was identified as Joykhum Mossang, the SP added.
