ITANAGAR: The Film Federation of Arunachal (FFA) has announced that the seventh edition of the 'Arunachal Film Festival' will be held on December 27 and 28. Addressing the media at the Press Club here, FFA general secretary ShamboFlago informed that this year the two-day event will be an online competition organized by the FFA in collaboration with the state government. "The festival will have competition in various categories including feature, documentary, and two short films; one will be open to all topic/genre and other theme will be based on unemployment and mental health," he added.
The entries should be from bonafide citizens of Arunachal Pradesh, those for feature and documentary films must be affiliated to FFA or certified by the 'Central Board of Film Certification' (CBFC). Documents such as synopsis, script, bio-data of producer and director with photographs, and film posters and trailers in the digital format will have to be enclosed along with the entries.
"Each submission — except the feature films — will have to be of 10 minutes duration in the recommended resolution. The entries will have to be submitted online through the FFA website www.arunachalfilmfestival.com. However, for feature film will have to be submitted offline in the FFA temporary Office, A Sector (Space Miracle Studios) Itanagar", he informed.
"The winners in the categories of feature, documentary, short (theme based) and short (open) films shall be awarded with cash awards of Rs 2 lakh, Rs 1 lakh, Rs 75,000 and Rs 50,000 respectively", he said adding, "The last date for submission of the feature, documentary and short (open) films is November 30, while December 2 is the last date for submission of the theme-based short films," Flago informed, adding that further information on the competition criteria can be accessed to the FFA website, and from the FFA's facebook page.
