Flash flood hits on NH-415 at Papunallah of Arunachal Pradesh

One OBT and some portion of a fuel station located on NH-415 at Papunallah have been washed away due to flash flood triggered by heavy downpour in the wee hours of Wednesday morning.

NAHARLAGUN: One OBT and some portion of a fuel station located on NH-415 at Papunallah have been washed away due to flash flood triggered by heavy downpour in the wee hours of Wednesday morning.

The OBT owner T Tabu informed that he have been staying here for years together but never seen such a huge volume of water in the nallah passing by his house. It was around 4 am that a flash flood came and destroyed the house and washed it away.

"I could hardly save some of property and all the belongings and household materials have been washed away," he said.

Meanwhile, MK Jain of the Him Refueling Station informed that it was very unfortunate that the flash flood in the nearby nallah in the wee hours damaged some portion of the petrol pump.

The pump house and the boundary wall constructed on both bank of the nallah were also damaged.

Several private cars parked by the local residents were narrowly saved and the DG set has been recovered from the site, he added.
