ITANAGAR: Kolkata-based Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) Director (Eastern & North-eastern Region) Col Pramod Dahitule on Tuesday called on Arunachal Pradesh Governor Brig (retd) Dr B D Mishra at Raj Bhawan here and discussed various issues.
Both discussed the ingredients, manufacture, preservative additions, storage, shelf life, distribution and sale of food items in fit conditions to promote health and safety for human consumption in the State. The Governor asked the Director to take the responsibility in promoting general awareness about food safety and food standards amongst the consumers in the State. He also asked him to conduct training programmes for entrepreneurs in food producing and distribution business.
