Former All Arunachal Pradesh Students’ Union (AAPSU) president Hawa Bagang joins BJP

Former President of the All Arunachal Pradesh Students’ Union (AAPSU), Hawa Bagang, along with another student leader, Tadar Tang, joined the saffron wagon on Monday.

ITANAGAR: Former President of the All Arunachal Pradesh Students’ Union (AAPSU), Hawa Bagang, along with another student leader, Tadar Tang, joined the saffron wagon on Monday. Both the student leaders joined the BJOP in the presence of the party’s state unit president Biyuram Wahge, senior leader Ananta Narayan Mishra, state general secretary Nalong Mize, and others at the party office here. Wahge, while welcoming Bagang and Tang to the party’s fold, hoped that their joining would strengthen the party organization in the state.

In his address, Bagan stated that he has reposed full faith in the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the centre and Chief Minister Pema Khandu, Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein, and state BJP President Biyuram Wahge in the state. He said that the BJP is the only party that can fulfil the aspirations of people in the state. Bagang served as assistant social service secretary of the All Nyishi Students’ Union (ANSU) during 2005–2007, information and publicity secretary of the AAPSU during 2008–2012, and president of the apex students’ body of the state during 2016–2022.

He is known for Donyi Poloism and its revolution in East Kameng district. He also led the indigenous revolution and constructed the first Namlo (prayer house) at Seppa, the district headquarters. He was instrumental in assisting the research work for the change of nomenclature from Dafla to Nyishi and undertook various initiatives for the welfare of the people of the state in the past 23 years as a student activist.
