ITANAGAR: Observing that a good ambience is of utmost importance to enhance performance levels, Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu said on Monday that the state government is committed to providing quality infrastructure so that its employees, especially in the districts, perform better. Khandu assertion came after dedicating Blocks A and B of the state-of-the-art district secretariat to the people of East Kameng district at Seppa, in the presence of union Minister for Earth Science Kiren Rijiju, state cabinet minister Mama Natung, and MLAs Tapuk Taku, Goruk Pordung, Hayeng Mangfi, and Biyuram Wahge. “The state-of-the-art district secretariat building at Seppa, equipped with modern facilities, stands as a beacon of development, progress, and growth. This will further ensure ease and speed of delivery of services for citizens’ welfare in East Kameng,” the chief minister said.

Counting several achievements made in governance and revenue generation, he credited the government employees for their contributions. “Without your support, commitment, and sincerity, the progress we have made in the last six to seven years would not have been possible. I have full faith in you that together we will take our state to new heights,” Khandu said. He urged government officials to not leave anything unturned to ensure the last-mile delivery and saturation of schemes, with an emphasis on revenue generation for the all-round development of the state. To facilitate the immediate shifting of the district administration to the new secretariat building, Khandu handed over the sanction order to deputy commissioner Sachin Rana for the procurement of equipment and furniture. He also assured the allotment of funds required to complete Blocks C and D of the district secretariat.

Khandu and Rijiju, along with the MLAs, later attended a massive BJP meeting at Seppa General Ground and laid the foundation for the BJP district office to be constructed at Wessang. Setting the tone for the ensuing general and assembly elections, Khandu urged the party workers of the district to create awareness of the various welfare schemes and projects of both the central and state governments so that the last person in the remotest village can know what the BJP government is doing for him. Hailing the BJP as the only party that can deliver, Khandu said that the BJP is the cleanest of all political parties. “BJP is the only party that can boldly speak against money culture in elections. I urge you all to campaign for a fair election that is based on performance and not on which candidate can pay how much in cash or kind,” he appealed.
