IAF organizes outreach on Agneepath scheme for school children in Arunachal

ITANAGAR: The Capital district administration on Thursday convened an awareness outreach programme in connection with the Centre’s Agneepath scheme, Agniveervayu, for the induction of eligible men and women into the Indian Air Force at various schools in the state capital. A team of Indian Air Force personnel from 11 Airmen Selection Centre Guwahati, led by Warrant Officer Dipnarayan Sahu and Junior Warrant Officer Vijay Kumar, visited government higher secondary schools Ganga, Arunodaya, and KV-II at Chimpu and briefed the students about various prospects of joining the Indian Air Force. The team had a fruitful session with the students, who were so inquisitive to know about the opportunities of working with the Indian Air Force. They also informed the students in detail about Agniveer Vayu and the Agneepath scheme.

The team informed that those students who have passed 10+2/intermediate/equivalent (50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English) are eligible for online registration, which would commence from July 27 to August 17. For online registration, candidates may log into https://agnipathvayu.cdac.in or www.itanagar.nic.in. Capital DC Talo Potom, speaking on the occasion, stressed that such recruitments are being held for the youth of the state. Moreover, such opportunities would also provide a platform for the unemployed youths, not just with employment opportunities but also helping strengthen the armed forces, the DC added. EAC (Hq) Khoda Lasa urged the students to take the maximum opportunity of such an awareness outreach programme by the Indian Air Force and to disseminate the same to family, friends, and neighbours so that such employment opportunities are not missed out on. He further said that the aim of the publicity campaign is to reach out to schools and colleges and present various employment opportunities according to different eligibility criteria. During the programme, students were felicitated with prizes for actively participating in the question-answer round.
