ITANAGAR: On October 1, 2023, a thrilling exhibition of athleticism known as the Tawang Marathon will take place, drawing participants from all over the world. The first iteration aims to be a highlight on the running calendar, providing both seasoned athletes and casual runners with an outstanding experience.
Tuesday saw the official start of the Tawang Marathon, which was introduced by the chief minister of Arunachal Pradesh, Pema Khandu, and members of the Indian Army.

Four categories make up the Tawang Marathon, each of which is intended to test competitors and offer a welcoming environment for people of various fitness levels. The famous Marathon (42.195 KM), Half Marathon (21.0975 KM), 10 KM race, or 5 KM race are the options for runners. No of their category, runners will see breathtaking views as they negotiate Tawang's pristine environs, making lifelong memories.
The Eastern Command of the Indian Army and the Government of Arunachal Pradesh worked together to organise the Tawang Marathon, demonstrating their common commitment to promoting sports and healthy lives. By combining the knowledge and resources of the two organisations, this exclusive cooperation guarantees a smooth event management, giving participants an unmatched marathon experience.
