Indian Army conducts free coaching at Bordumsa

In pursuit of its sustained efforts to guide the youths of upper Assam and bordering Arunachal’s region to be asset for the society and nation as a whole

BORDUMSA: In pursuit of its sustained efforts to guide the youths of upper Assam and bordering Arunachal's region to be asset for the society and nation as a whole, the C Coy Bordumsa-based 14 Assam Regiment unit of the Army dedicated free coaching classes for the students of Classes IX and XII in Arunachal's Bordumsa Higher Secondary School in Changlang District.

The programme with immense socio-educational utilities has been designed by the Army under the Operation Sadbhavana would go a long way in supporting the cause of the students who might have suffered during the nation-wide lockdown on account of the COVID-19 pendemic.

"Though the ongoing pandemic has hit all strata of the society, the students have been severely affected. During the prolonged lockdown due to COVID-19, students of the Doomduma Circle have been deprived of regular classes in their respective schools.

"Also due to the lack of cellular connectivity and infrastructure in the region, the students could not avail benefits of the online classes. With an aim to bridge this gap in resources, the Army has decided to conduct coaching classes for students of IX to XII grade over a period of four months," said an official of the Army based at Rupai.

The free coaching class meant for three months, was dedicated by Major Abin Mathew of 14 Assam Regiment in the presence of the school teachers and Principal of Bordumsa Higher Secondary School and Army personnels including Subedar Rajesh Chhetri.

It needs mentioning here that CO- Col SK Dogra representing the 14 Rupai-based Assam Regiment unit of the Indian Army has been relentlessy driving hard in designing, implementing and cordinating all dots to ensure the benefits of the said project is effectively availed by the students.

Meanwhile the local MLA of Bordumsa-Diyun Somlung Mossang who had on several occasions earlier assured of his special attention on quality education also lauded the pioneering efforts of the Bordumsa-based unit of the Army for their contributions in promoting the cause of the local students.

M.L.Sahani (PGT) and R.L. Chattopadhyaya (PCM) TGT will be conducting the coaching classes.

The teaching staff and members of the school administration has also expressed gratitude for these steps of the Army.
