ITANAGAR: Union Minister Kiren Rijiju visited the Community Health Centre (CHC) at Nafra in West Kameng district of Arunachal Pradesh on Saturday.
Accompanied by Bomdila MLA Dongru Siongju and others, Rijiju inspected all wards and OPD and visited all indoor patients to enquire about their wellbeing.
The health facility in his constituency has been facing acute shortage of doctors and other staff.
During a meeting, Senior Medical Officer (SMO) Dr S.K. Singh apprised the visiting dignitaries about the status of the CHC.
Rijiju assured a new ambulance for the CHC and construction of a new hospital building.
The meeting was also attended among others also by the ZPMs (Zila Parishad Members) of Nafra and Jerigoan, former MLA Rinchin Kharu Rijiju, president of the women's wing of the 'Sajolang Elite Society' Yangjom Rijiju and departmental heads, among others.
