IRBn constable dies after hit by speeding bike in Bordumsa

BORDUMSA: At times while growing road accidents on Trans-Arunachal Highway (TAH) have been felt as a major concern for the people of Bordumsa, a fresh incident involving the tragic death of an Indian Reserve Battalion (IRBn) constable here along the TAH at Rajanagar area under Bordumsa Police Station in Changlang district on Monday evening has caused a sensation in the area.

According to Panloa Atta, a local social worker of Rajanagar area, who had immediately attended the site, the deceased BanghangWangno (28) — an IRBN constable attached to Bordumsa Police Station — was walking along the road near his residential village Rajanagar-II when a recklessly driven motorcycle (Hero Honda Glamour AS23 M 2411) with a pillion rider knocked him from behind thus killing the pedestrian on the spot. The deceased is survived by his parents and a younger brother.

Of the two riders identified as SantoshVerma — son of BhagwanVerma — has been detained by the police while the injured pillion rider was rushed to Dibrugarh for advanced treatment. The police brought also seized the motorcycle that got damaged follwoing the incident.

Meanwhile, Local MLA Bordumsa-Diyun Constituency SomlungMossang, Deputy Commandant of IRBnDiyun, ADC Bordumsa, OC Bordumsa Police Station and a host of government officials visited the house of the deceased and extended their condolences to the grief-stricken parents, relatives, and dependents. MLA Mossang and Deputy Commandant of IRBnDiyun also extended a contingency corpus one-time financial assistance to the bereaved parents.
