ITANAGAR: Lower Siang deputy commissioner Rujjum Raksap on Friday asked the line departments to adhere to government guidelines while implementing projects. Addressing members of the district-level monitoring committee meeting at Likabali to review the status of various ongoing schemes and flagship programmes being implemented in the district, he asked department heads to provide necessary information about schemes to administrative and panchayat members for smooth coordination.
The DC also asked the department heads to identify economically viable and income-generating schemes. Earlier, Likabali MLA Kardo Nyigyor called for effective implementation and timely completion of all ongoing and new schemes. He also appealed to implementing agencies for regular monitoring of schemes to ensure the quality and timely completion of projects. Nyigyor also stressed that work departments should identify income-generating and economically viable schemes. In the meeting, HoDs highlighted the status of various ongoing and new projects in their respective departments. Lower Siang zilla parishad chairperson Marpe Nguba and others spoke on the importance of monitoring and proper dissemination of information about development schemes.
