Maintain quality in construction: Techi Kaha

ITANAGAR: A daylong awareness camp was conducted by the Arunachal Pradesh Building & other Construction Workers Welfare Board (APB&OCWWB) in collaboration with the Sagalee Block unit of 'All Arunachal Pradesh Labour Union' (AAPLU) at Sagalee recently.

The event was graced by former ASM Chairperson VII-Sagalee Anchal Samiti Constituency Techi Kaha as the chief guest and AAPLU president Dana Tadu along with APB&OCWWB members. During the event, distribution of water filters and radios was distributed to the beneficiaries of Sagalee Block. Addressing the gathering, chief guest Techi Kaha advised to work with unity among other unions for the interest of workers of entire State. He also appealed to the State AAPLU president and the members to co-operate each other and conduct more such awareness programmes.

Kaha informed that the registered workers are much interested in the materials supplied instead of other benefits like financial help in maternity, marriages etc.

Earlier, member of APB&OCWWB informed that one should get registration to avail the benefits, their are many such privileges being left out by the many worker who are not registered due lack of information and awareness.

He also informed that a person who is a labourer or worker under departments, boards and contingency workers at any department or other units are eligible for registration. He further appealed to the gathering to cooperate with the board for better result and smooth functioning of office.
