MLA Goruk Pordung inaugurated State-of-the-art dental hospital in Itanagar

ITANAGAR: The fully air-conditioned and well-equipped 'Paradise Dental Hospital' (PDH) was inaugurated by MLA Goruk Pordung along with Councilor Taz Gyamar here on Saturday. The PDH is located at E-Sector near here.

Applauding the entire team of PDH for coming up with the idea of home service for dental issues, Guruk Pordung, who is also Advisor to Health Minister, said that oral healthcare is very important and its carelessness can affect a person's overall health. He pointed out many people take for granted.

Also ensuring all help to the dental hospital, Pordung said that oral problems are commonly overlooked aspects of health management, but one that is crucial to people's well being.

"Your mouth/teeth can reflect the overall health of your body, showing signs of infection or diseases before anyone experiences other symptoms. Therefore, preventative dental care requires minor steps to avoid serious problems," he said.

While appealing the public to avail of the dental care from PDH, he also appreciated the youths of the State, especially from his Assembly constituency for choosing the self-employment mode of living.

IMC Councilor, Taz Gyamar also acknowledged the efforts of PDH team for establishing the hospital in and around his ward. Gyamar also said that the people of his ward will now have the best dental service, also the rest people in the ICR too. He also appealed to the youths to stay healthy in terms of maintaining healthy teeth.

He said that all dental issues are cosmetic problems which can impact confidence and make you insecure about your appearance.

"Maintaining good dental hygiene is vital to living a positive, healthy life. Taking care of your own health can be more empowering, and provides you with peace of mind and confidence," he added.

Meanwhile, PDH Managing Director Dr Namtung Dolo said that besides home dental service, the hospital will also offer specialist advice and treatment for cases of special difficulty referred to the hospital.

"All the cosmetic dentistry, from improving the appearance of the teeth, teeth whitening, dental implantology and general dentistry will be available in the hospital," he said, adding that separate doctors will also be available to attend to more patients at a time.

Among others, social worker Norbu Sonam, Assistant Professor Lilly R Jomoh, Inspector Tax & Excise Tarh Tapak and others were present on the occasion.
