MLA Kardo Nyigyor stresses Likhabali development works from road connectivity

Nyigyor said that the most disputed issues between Assam and Arunachal regarding the construction of a dilapidated highway road at the entry point of Likhabali town have been resolved.

ITANAGAR: 28-Likhabali constituency MLA Kardo Nyigyor said that every development works from road connectivity to building infrastructure in his constituency is being taken care of and with the support of the public and the

State government soon the district will emerge as one of the best districts.

Talking to this daily, Nyigyor said that the most disputed issues between Assam and Arunachal regarding the construction of a dilapidated highway road at the entry point of Likhabali town have been resolved.

He said due to the dispute over the construction of the road which falls between the Assam and Arunachal boundary at Likhabali, the road was still not constructed. However, his recent meeting with the Assam Chief Minister and the local MLA from Assam has resolved the matter.

"We met the Assam CM earlier and accordingly he has resolved the matter. The road which falls under the Assam part will be constructed by the Assam government and for which the fund has also been provided. Likewise, I have also appraised the matter to the CM Pema Khandu for the construction of another part of the road falling under Arunachal," he said.

He said the CM has assured us to complete the stretch of the highway. Most probably, during the 2023-2024 financial years funds will be allocated and accordingly, the work will be completed.
